    Here are a few photos of helicopters at the U.S. Army Aviation Museum. Unless otherwise noted, I do not know the particular models of aircraft pictured.

    It is nice to see the CH47 in your photo. I used to bum rides in these while I was in school at Fort Rucker. I loved every minute of it.

    Unfortunately, I didn’t get to ride in one of those. I did, however, hitch a ride on a Kiowa Warrior for my very first helicopter flight. We flew over the swamps and spotted a few alligators, including one that appeared to be as big as a horse. It was a fun trip; though, I suspect it could have been a little more suspenseful had the aviators decided to make it so.
